Dear ones, Many of you know that I took the summer off of teaching public group classes. While I still maintained teaching my private clients, I took Sunday evenings “off” for the first time since I began teaching over 11 years ago. While admittedly it was a little odd at first (like when you keep thinking you must be forgetting something), it was a fun exploration having two full days off in a row for 2+ months. I’ve heard some of you call this “a weekend”. 8-) I think taking regular breaks (from anything) can be a lovely way to reset, rejuvenate, and reconnect with my creative energies. The same way that sometimes walking away from a challenging task and returning to it after doing something completely different can help me discover new solutions or ideas when I return. On this train of thought, my brain brings up one of my favorite Anne Lamott quotes: “Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.” So now, I am BACK! This Sunday, September 15, I return to teaching my Candlelight Restorative practice at Datza Yoga Studio in Eastlake Seattle. Class is 75 delicious minutes of intentional rest, and you can attend either in studio or from your pj’s at home in your own time zone. No yoga experience is necessary. If you are planning to attend, it’s important to note that it’s now at a new time: 7:00pm start! (And don’t forget to pre-register.
