Yoga Therapy for the Neck & Shoulders

  • Datza Studio 2201 Eastlake Avenue East, Suite B Seattle, WA, 98102 United States (map)

This fall series includes two yoga therapy workshops that turn attention toward areas of the body often overused, under-cared-for, or taken for granted: the neck and shoulders, and the hands and feet. Through a therapeutic approach that blends education, movement, breath, rest, and hands-on self-care practices, these workshops support release, circulation, and resilience in parts of the body that work hard every day, helping to unwind accumulated tension and restore comfort and function.

Neck and shoulder discomfort is one of the most frequently expressed physical concerns for many modern yoga students, often showing up as tightness, tension, or recurring headaches. It often reflects how and where we’re holding stress, responsibility, and attention. In this small-group yoga therapy workshop, we’ll examine how posture, breath patterns, screen use, and everyday movement habits can contribute to – and help relieve – patterns of accumulated strain in the neck and shoulders.

This practice emphasizes gentle explorations, supportive strength, and restorative rest designed to reduce strain and restore ease in the upper body. Alongside movement and breathwork, we’ll include education around ergonomics and anatomy, and offer individualized practices and practical tools you can take home, to work, or on the go to support more comfort and less tension throughout your day.

In studio only.
Each workshop is limited to 6 participants.
A short yoga therapy intake questionnaire is required upon registration.
Beginners welcome.

Investment: $60 per workshop, or $100 for both fall workshops.
