This fall series includes two yoga therapy workshops that turn attention toward areas of the body often overused, under-cared-for, or taken for granted: the neck and shoulders, and the hands and feet. Through a therapeutic approach that blends education, movement, breath, rest, and hands-on self-care practices, these workshops support release, circulation, and resilience in parts of the body that work hard every day, helping to unwind accumulated tension and restore comfort and function.
Our hands and feet are among the hardest-working parts of the body, yet they’re often the most taken for granted. We rely on them constantly for balance, engagement, expression, and daily tasks – including walking, grip, and fine motor work – yet rarely give them the care or attention they need until discomfort, stiffness, or pain shows up.
In this small-group yoga therapy workshop, we’ll explore the hands and wrists, feet and ankles through a therapeutic lens, working with functional movement, simple strengthening and mobility practices, and guided self-massage to release tension and restore ease. With time for education, inquiry, and individualized exploration, you’ll learn practical tools you can use at home and in daily life to support comfort, circulation, and resilience in these essential – and too frequently overlooked – areas of the body.
In studio only.
Each workshop is limited to 6 participants.
A short yoga therapy intake questionnaire is required upon registration.
Beginners welcome.
Investment: $60 per workshop, or $100 for both fall workshops.
