Now, we begin again.

Dear ones,
Lately, I’ve been basking in the first yoga sutra, 1.1: atha yoga anuśāsanam, which approximately translates to: “Now we begin the practice – or the study – of yoga.”
It’s one of those sutras often overlooked or skimmed by, like the introduction to a book. But I find that, in so many ways, it encapsulates one of the most crucial elements at the heart of mindfulness:
Now, we begin again.
Wherever you’re coming from, whatever you’ve been up to today, this week, or lately, I’m going to invite you to embody this sutra:
Atha yoga anuśāsanam
Embrace the practice.
Welcome yourself to the right now... with this next breath.
Pause. Wherever you are, you get the opportunity to begin again – with curiosity, with compassion, and with presence.
With heart,
Nicole
